You could have given up drinking the rest of your life that neither of these teams would make the playoffs in 2008 season, much less BOTH!
As a Redskins, fan this is very tough to watch regardless how these teams perform in the Playoffs. What achievements these teams have made in such a small window. Not quite sure everyone understands the how impressive the turnaround has been, so I mapped out some stats just so we all can appreciate.

2007 (4-12) 2008 (11-5)
Offense
2007 PPG – 29th 2008 PPG – 10th
2007 Passing – 24th 2008 Passing – 14th
2007 Rushing – 23rd 2008 Rushing – 2nd
Defense
2007 PPG Agst – 28th 2008 PPG Agst – 22nd
2007 Passing Agst – 26th 2008 Passing Agst – 22nd
2007 Rushing Agst – 26th 2008 Rushing Agst – 23rd
Notes: Huge turnaround on the offensive side of the ball, way to go O-coordinator Mike Mularkey! Combined categories have resulted +50 league ranking spots, +50! +50 with Vick gone, rookie coach and QB, W. Dunn and A. Crumpler gone and one WR to speak of in R. White. Come in Michael Turner with his 1,700 yards, 17 TDs, yes 17 TDs and Matt Ryan 3,400 yards, 16 TDs and a 87.7 rating. The passer rating in one year is better than Vick realized in his entire career. Defensively they still need work, but given that coach Mike Smith is a defensive minded man, they can only improve.
Falcons(-2) at Arizona
Falcons can score and Arizona is not going to stop them. Thank being said, Warner is best at home and the Falcons are weak on the defensive side as well. Given the Falcons advantage with run and pass, the Falcons win this game.

2007 (1-15) 2008 (11-5) *Divisional Title
Offense
2007 PPG – 26th 2008 PPG – 21th
2007 Passing – 24th 2008 Passing – 10th
2007 Rushing – 23rd 2008 Rushing – 11th
Defense
2007 PPG Agst – 29th 2008 PPG Agst – 8th
2007 Passing Agst – 4th 2008 Passing Agst – 25th
2007 Rushing Agst – 32nd 2008 Rushing Agst – 10th
Notes: Bill Parcels came to the helm with his man Tony Sparano as the head coach who had been with Dallas as well for 4 years. Sparano clearly made a difference with his O-line experience and drafting of Jake Long. 40 sacks against in 2007 compared to 26 in 2008. Bring in Chad Pennington, re-sign Ricky Williams and pump up Joey Porter and suddenly they found a team. Defensively, they have made great strides particularly against the run and in points allowed.
Baltimore(-3) at Miami
Miami does have trouble scoring and it will not be any easier against Baltimore. Baltimore has been all run as of late which Miami does fall into the better aspect of Miami’s defense. However, given Miami’s 5-0 streak has been against Rams, Bills, 49ers, Chiefs and Jets, I will go with Baltimore.
Regardless I will be cheering for the Falcons and Miami, well done!
